Staff strived to ensure that those people who were living with dementia had a good quality of life. People were given choice where possible and throughout the inspection we saw that the people’s dignity and independence was promoted. Tara's Retreat Care Home is a large care residence located in St Albans, with 46 beds. The home accepts older individuals including people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

This gave staff the skills and information they needed to support people effectively and safely. Tara’s Retreat Care Home in Sandridge is a purpose-built development close to the City of St Albans. The home enjoys a peaceful location with panoramic views across the surrounding countryside, as well as four dedicated living environments and a selection of luxury facilities. On the 8th I did not receive any notification, so I called and was told it was on 9th, both delivery and installation. On the 9th, they did not provide a delivery window and I had to call again. They gave me 11 to 3 and we waited, till 4 they reached out and said their truck was not able to fit in our street so they had to reschedule. This piece of information was provided at the delivery order when they asked us if a 6ft truck can fit in and we specifically said no, the street is narrow. So anyways, we had to agree to reschedule again to 14th, as expected, no email no phone call until this morning. I called again and was told that their system had it for the 15th.

Finally got rescheduled to 7/19 and they finally showed up. Marched into our house and said we need to pay an extra $89 to replace a "super corroded" valve under the sink that had never leaked before. They then hooked up the dishwasher and left very quickly after tricking a grandparent at home to sign a form absolving them of damages. We did not know who it was that would do the install until they called and left an automated message about our delivery. I Googled the phone number and another, unrelated business came up . I saw only one review regarding a dishwasher install and it was a “less than” 1 star review. I continued to research and got much more of the same sub par reviews. This made me seriously consider cancelling my order with Best Buy.

Within 5 minutes of them weaving I was able to unscrew the microwave and get it out by myself and called them to tell them they needed to come back and install the new microwave. After agreeing to come back when they were finished with the job they were going to two hours later I got a phone call saying they weren't coming back and they would put me on the schedule for Monday. So that's totally unacceptable and wouldn't recommend using them for anything. Add me to the list of no-call/no-show customers waiting on a delivery and install contracted through a home improvement store. No call to schedule, appliance not picked up, unable to reach this company or leave a message when I called.
